Old Course

The estate’s original par-72 course is widely considered to be Robert Van Hagge’s masterpiece; it has been consistently ranked among the top three golf courses in Europe over the past 30 years. The Old Course carves a tree-lined, 7,044-yard (6,441 meters), par-72 course through the rolling Sologne forest, intertwined with a stunning complex of lakes that offer a uniquely serene setting.

New Course

Designed by acclaimed golf course architects Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner, the New Course opened in 2021 and was recently named among GOLF Magazine’s Top 100 Courses in the World. Inspired by classical heathland style, the 7,285-yard (6,661 meters) course represents Hanse’s first course in continental Europe and sits on sandy soils and gently rolling terrain. It plays firm and fast with wide playing corridors framed by heather and broom.

The Wild Piglet & The Himalayas

The Wild Piglet, our 10 hole par three course adjacent to the New Course, has already been ranked in the Top 25 Short Courses in the World by Golf Magazine. Unveiled in 2020, both the Wild Piglet and the Himalayas Putting Green have proven to be extremely popular; a perfect way to introduce juniors to golf and for Members to sharpen their short game.

Practice Facilities

The grass driving range is adjacent to the Clubhouse and provides the perfect sanctuary to work on your game in peace and quiet or with the help of the Golf Club professionals. Within the Clubhouse, there is a state-of-the-art simulator room to further hone your swing. The iconic putting green behind the 1st tee of the Old Course alongside a recently added short game area completes a first-class practice facility offering.

The Clubhouse

The Clubhouse provides the focal point of activity for the Golf Club; a comfortable and refined space buzzing with activity throughout the season. The Clubhouse was redesigned internally in 2019 by architects Michaelis Boyd to offer modern comforts whilst preserving the rustic feel of the fireplaces and vaulted wood beam ceilings as well as the charm of the surrounding Loire Valley architecture.

Restaurant

Maintaining an exceptional standard of food and service is a key priority at Les Bordes Estate. This is fostered by a food and beverage team recruited from some of the finest hotels and restaurants around the world. The team is dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences for our members and their guests.

Guest Cottages

Located a short walking distance from the Clubhouse and overlooking the scenic 18th hole of the Old Course, 38 guest cottages offer comfortable and spacious accommodation for Members and their guests. 24 cottages, including three suites, have been redesigned and renovated by Michaelis Boyd. With interiors that complement the Clubhouse, the new design preserves the buildings’ historical elements whilst updating them to modern standards. Outdoor terraces, landscaping and new lighting have also been added to ensure that guests feel right at home.
